Charlotte Garratt is a young and extremely talented dress designer and her couture dress collection is a real show stopper!
Wednesday Charlotte unveiled her new 2013 Couture Collection collection to key players in the wedding industry. The event took place at the prestigious Searcys at 30 Pavilion Road in Knightsbridge. I was honoured to be there in official capacity to document the wonderful evening.
Searcys is a luxurious and beautiful country style house which makes the perfect setting for private and corporate events.
Jinder from The Finer Details worked tirelessly to organise a really fabulous night for Charlotte and all her guests. She created a luxurious invitation suite which set the scene for the evening ahead. She also worked closely with Heather and Andy from Essential Flowers to ensure the venue oozed glamour and they certainly pulled all the stops with their incredible displays of flowers and lighting.
Guests were greeted with champagne cocktails on their arrival accompanied by the melody sounds of Jose Albela on the guitar and entertained by the incredible talented Sav, otherwise known as the Deceptionist. Sav performed a number of tricks on the guests leaving them amazed.
Once guests were seated and ready for the show they were delighted by the beautiful voice of Sarah-Jane Dale, trained opera singer and director of Melisma Music. The show begun! The models elegantly walked down the runway accompanied by the sound of harpist Bethan Gillard. The show stopping finale by contemporary dancer Kate Pilbeam surprised everyone.
After the show Charlotte announced the one lucky bride who won a dress for her wedding, needless to say the bride to be was ecstatic.
The dessert table was adorned with beautiful cakes, cookies and meringues from the queen of cakes extraordinaire Elizabeth Solaru from Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium. Delicious macarons by Sarah Taylor from Chateau Macaron were served with drinks. When I say delicious, I mean seriously delicious! The best macarons I have ever had, and I have had a few… Sarah created a jaw dropping display or macarons which I found very difficult not to devour it all.
If all these delicacies wasn’t enough to tempt our delighted guests a tower of cute little boxes containing some delectable Toffee and Sea Salt flavoured popcorn from Matt Guarente of Pop (Europe’s first ever popcorn boutique!) was hard to resist.
Great times was had by all, enjoy the images!
Sara enchanted the guests with her beautiful opera voice! The beautiful models showed off the dresses so beautifully and elegantly. And some contemporary dance to finish off One lucky bride won a dress! Amazing! Such an amazing night. Such a pleasure to be part of it, to have created the invitations and had my brooch bouquets in the fashion show. Charlotte’s dresses were absolutely phenomenal and Cristina has captured the stylish and sophisticated mood of the night perfectly. Not only were the guests entertained from the moment they stepped throught the doorS of 30 Pavilion Road, but they also left with the best goody bags in town EVER xx
